Thank You India
Thank You India: Maria’s Wirth book is an ode to India and its wisdom. Stumbling into India on an accidental layover in 1980, she gets drawn into a seeker’s journey, searching for truth and encountering the many remarkable men and women, gurus and teachers, who would act as guides for her decades in India. From Sai Baba to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, from Anandamayi Ma to Amma, she records her close personal encounters and experiences.
The journey will take us to secluded and unknown yogis in the Himalayas to the famous celebrity gurus, to colorful festivals and ascetic caves. But her real journey is the inner voyage to Yoga or union, a union with the Self. As we travel with and through her we get to reflect on love and death, rebirth and liberation and the necessity and the limitations of the guru. Finding both inspiration and disillusionment, she returns again to her own self and to the wisdom of India, a treasure for all of humanity in its journey.

THE BATTLE FOR RAMA: CASE OF THE TEMPLE AT AYODHYA
For over two decades, a handful of Left historians have strenuously endeavoured to stymie the Ramjanmabhumi movement. From questioning the antiquity of Rama worship and the identity of ancient Ayodhya, they have also challenged the widely held belief that Babri Masjid was built on the site of the Janmabhumi temple. Scholars have, however, traced the antiquity of the Rama Katha as far back as sixth-fifth century bce, when ancient ballads (akhyanas) transmitted Rama?s story orally. Valmiki?s Ramayana itself has been dated to the fourth-third century bce. Over the centuries, Rama?s story has been re-told in many vernaculars of the country. Rama is the exemplar of moral values for Hindu society and epitomises its aspirations of artha, kama, and above all, dharma. The proceedings of the Allahabad High Court have exposed the vulnerabilities of Left historians. They could proffer no evidence of continued Muslim presence at Babri Masjid, while the unwavering commitment of Hindu devotees to the site has been attested by several sources. Babri Masjid was not mentioned in the revenue records of the Nawabi and British periods, nor was any Waqf ever created for its upkeep. No Muslim filed an FIR or complained of dispossession or obstruction in his alleged use of the Masjid when the image of Sri Rama was placed under the central dome on 23rd December 1949. The Sunni Central Waqf Board entered litigation on 18th December 1961, just five days before the twelfth anniversary of the placement of the image in the Masjid, on which date any claim would have become time-barred. The Board did not file a suit for possession; instead it sought a declaration on the status of the property. Further, excavations of the ASI revealed uninterrupted occupation of the site since the 13th century bce. They also exposed remnants of the temple on which Babri Masjid was erected. The assertions of Left historians on Babri Masjid have all been found to be erroneous; yet there has been no public retraction. Indeed, they continue to peddle their discredited theories despite the mounting evidence against them.

The Girl from Kathua (HB)

On January 10, 2018, a little girl allegedly disappeared in Kathua district of Jammu province. Even before her body was recovered a week later, a sinister narrative was launched alleging that the girl was abducted, gang raped and killed by ‘RSS-minded’ Hindus in a Hindu temple. Talib Hussain, a PDP-Hurriyat activist with criminal antecedents led the campaign, in which Patwari Sanji Ram was declared as the ‘mastermind’.
Mehbooba Mufti, the then CM of J&K, deftly used this opportunity to arbitrarily arrest hundreds of young Hindus of Kathua district. Amid unprecedented protests by the Bar Association, several BJP leaders as well as leading citizens of Jammu, cutting across party lines, begged the PMO for a CBI investigation. But the demand was snubbed, and the fake narrative allowed to run amok.
Madhu Purnima Kishwar personally investigated the case over three years. With meticulously video-recorded interviews, extensive analysis of legal documents, financial transactions, and social media posts, she exposes how the Mufti government astutely used the mainstream media, foreign-funded NGOs and puppet academics to get the police and the judiciary to legally persecute innocent Hindus to further their subversive agenda of Land & Demographic Jihad in Jammu province.
Shockingly, leading journalists and ‘public intellectuals’ ignored even the post-mortem, which does not support rape charge to globally vilify Jammu Hindus and the Modi government. This book effectively blasts the fake narrative and exposes the masterminds behind it.

The Hero of Kargil & Other Stories
The stories in this book pertain to the wars, which India has fought since its Independence in 1962, 65, 71 and 99. The war stories have always aroused the curiosity of the readers. Although many books have been written on conflicts between India and its neighbours, no author has attempted to write stories. This book is therefore unique, the only one of its kind, a book of fiction on events and characters, in the background of war.
The wars have topical interest and as time passes, one forgets them and gets engrossed in current issues. This is natural. However, certain events such as missile attack on Karachi, shattering of enemy offensive by Hunter aircraft at Longewala, the role played by the aircraft carrier INS VIKRANT and the heroics of men in uniform have a lasting value, an element of permanence.
These stories provide insight into ethos, culture and lifestyle of the armed forces, their values, hardships and character. The stories narrate the account of war and unfold its conduct in easy and interesting manner.
The stories have been written in simple and endearing style. It is a book, which ought to be read by all, the old and young.SKU: n/a -

I DARED TO TRAVEL THE SPIRITUAL PATH Priyabhishek Sharma’s account of his spiritual journey and the remarkable events and synchronicities therein is quite fascinating. I have read it with much interest and pleasure. – Dr. Karan Singh, renowned scholar and former Union Minister Initiated by a Himalayan Yogi (ascetic) with a beej (Vedic seed) mantra (prayer or chant), two years later a university student wakes up in the night to find his mind connecting with far off people and places. Perplexed and scared, he finds not only his intuition getting stronger with every passing day but also some weird prophetic voices descending from the universe into his brain. His life changes permanently into a ceaseless seeking of the mysteries of the mind, meditation, and monks. Many Himalayan Masters miraculously appear on the way guiding him through different stages. Observing his own mind in regular meditation for almost two decades, he witnesses layers of his mind gradually falling apart until the day when the mind no longer remains and a new zone of deep silence dawns. This journey eventually culminates at the feet of an ageless Master. Dr. Priyabhishek Sharma is a seeker of life and a doctorate in Political Science from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. A practitioner of meditation for about two decades, he has dwelled with Himalayan Masters as a learner of their esoteric spiritual practices. This book has sprung out of that two-decade long association with – and above all the grace of those Himalayan Masters. He is author of three books.

THE HINDU MUSLIM DIVIDE
-10%English Books, Religious & Spiritual Literature, Vitasta Publishing, इतिहासTHE HINDU MUSLIM DIVIDE
Justice Sachar committee has placed Muslims at the lowest rung of India’s economic, educational and social hierarchies. If India is to develop, this vast mass of humanity cannot be left untouched and uncared for. Some of the popular myths such as Muslims producing more children and the community preferring madarsa education have been demolished. The Sachar Committee has established that only four per cent Muslims go to the madarsas. Now, it is for the community to see through the design of the mullahs who vehemently oppose reforms in the community or madarsa education.
For India to evolve into a plural society, poverty has to be overcome. This requires different policy orientations. Fundamentalism, either of the Muslim or the Hindu brand, has to be taken care of. India cannot live in the past. Nor can it allow its past to distort the present.
Amrik Singh tries to analyse the reasons for Hindu-Muslim divide and suggest solutions. The partition of India in 1947 was supposed to be a panacea for the Hindu-Muslim divide which had engulfed India for the preceding 1,000 years. Those who thought so were naive. The issue was not territorial dispute but assimilation. One belief system, new and aggressive, wanted to establish hegemony over the other and this led to confrontation. The Partition also put a question mark on the loyalty of those Muslims who chose to stay on in India. The physical division of India created an emotional turmoil in both the communities. Rather than addressing these issues, a fledgling Pakistan unleashed its territorial ambitions and fought three fratricidal wars with India. Vested interests in India gave these the colour of a clash between two communities.
The Bharatiya Janata Party that fed on Hindu nationalism did everything to perpetuate this myth. This was not opposed strongly by either the secular forces or from within the Indian Muslim community and communal forces gained in the process.
Pakistani leaders have also helped perpetuate this divide.
Amrik Singh quotes Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who had said in 1971 that there had been a thousand years of war between Hindus and Muslims in India. The Muslims in India may not be guided by what Bhutto and some others said. The Hindutva forces nonetheless will like its followers to believe that Islam is determined to conquer India and destroy its culture. The introduction of the separate electorate system by the British had reinforced this division over a period of time. Mahatma Gandhi understood this fact and tried to bridge the divide through active participation in the Khilafat movement. But that did not work.

THE INDIA THEY SAW (SET OF 4 VOLS)
AUTHOR : SANDHYA JAIN / MEENAKSHI JAIN
An account of the grandeur of ancient India as perceived by her foreign visitors from hoary times; and their wonder at her rich philosophical efflorescence and material abundance. The foreigners marvelled at the deep spiritual convictions that allowed yogis and widows to ascend a burning pyre without murmur; the social harmony of myriad tribes and castes; and above all; the common culture and love of justice permeating and binding all in seamless unity. Beginning with the Greeks and especially those who accompanied Alexander; these accounts comprise our first records into the social; moral; legal; and economic life of the Indian people; and the early
development of the civilisational paradigm of dharma; artha; kama and moksa. The rise of Christianity pushed Europe into a cocoon. Thereafter; Buddhist pilgrims from China traversed the land between the fourth and the eighth centuries; visiting the major monasteries and sites associated with the Buddha; and left interesting memoirs behind. This uninhibited intellectual and spiritual exploration of India’s Sanskritic or Indic culture ended abruptly with the rise of Islam in Arabia in the seventh century; and its outward thrust into Europe; north Africa; Central Asia and the Indian sub-continent; where it fought to establish political and religious supremacy. Possibly the last Buddhist monk to take the land route to India was the Korean pilgrim Hye Ch’O; who arrived as the armies of Islam began cutting through Central Asia…SKU: n/a -

The Indian War Of Independence 1857 (PB)
Veer Savarkar was the first man who called the mutiny of 1857 ‘A War of Independence’. Until his time, no Indian had dared to say so. The martyrs of 1857 are really fortunate that they got such a historian to tell their history who himself was both a historian and a creator of history. At times, we visualise Veer Savarkar coloured in the red colour of that revolution, as if he himself was present on the battlefield and participated in the heroic war. At other times, we see him patiently analyse the strengths and weaknesses of both sides—why the mutineers lost and why the British won. The way he analyses the politico-military aspects of the revolution shows his wisdom as a youth of 26 years.
The Indian War of Independence, 1857, is a step by step account of the uprising of Indian Hindus and Muslims against the ruthless British rulers. Tracing footsteps of the barefooted, undernourished and almost unarmed Indian masses challenging the British bullets by the sheer force of their will power, the author establishes beyond an iota of doubt that the uprising was a War of Independence and not a mere Sepoy Mutiny as dubbed by the British.
Some glaring truths about this book:
• This book became the Bible for Indian revolutionaries.
• The book was proscribed by the British Government before its publication.
• The book was smuggled into India and England after it was published in Holland.
• The demand for this book was so enormous that it used to be sold and resold at the stupendous price of Rs. 300 (in 1910).SKU: n/a -

THE KASHMIR STORY PART-2
Part 2 of The Kashmir Story starts with the Sikh rule in Kashmir under Maharaja Ranjit Singh followed by the Dogra rule. The book traces how the age-old composite culture of Kashmir (Hindus and Muslims co-existing peacefully) was replaced by the canker of communalism.
Against the backdrop of India’s independence on 15th August 1947 and the turmoil of partition unfolds the saga of the accession of Kashmir to India by Maharaja Hari Singh. From Sheikh Abdullah we arrive at his grandson Omar Abdullah. The National Conference and Congress were defeated in the 2015 elections and the BJP and PDP jointly formed the government.
The book traces the rise and spread of terrorism in the Valley. It chronicles the heroic deeds of Indian soldiers who died protecting Kashmir from Pakistani raiders and army. It describes the conflicts of Siachen and Kargil and the unfortunate exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley. It highlights the love of the Mughal emperors for Kashmir reflected in the splendid architecture of the gardens and lakes. There is an engrossing account of the rich craft traditions of Kashmir — the shawls, namdas, samovars, kanger, houseboats, the springs, lakes, forests, flora and fauna. Kashmir is rich in performing folk art and folklore. The lifestyles, social festivals of Hindus and Muslims, their food are described vividly.

Vinayak Damodar Sarvarkar popularly known as Veer Sarvarkar has a unique place in the annals of history. Controversy surrounds his name. Some consider him to be one of the greatest revolutionaries in the freedom struggle of India while others think of him to be a communalist. However, there is no doubt that he was a freedom fighter, who not only fought for his country but also evoked feelings of patriotism in fellow citizens through his writings.
His biography is an eye-opener for it depicts the trials and tribulations of a person, who was sentenced to 50 years of hard imprisonment in the Cellular Jail of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, also called the ‘Kala Pani’. From his prison cell, he sent his poems to the mainland, memorized by the prisoners who were released.SKU: n/a -

The Sarasvati Civilisation
Who were the Harappans? How are they related to present-day Indians? Was there never an “Aryan Invasion”? The Sarasvati Civilization: A New Paradigm in Ancient Indian History brings together evidence from satellite imagery, geology, hydrodynamics, archaeology, epigraphy, textual hermeneutics, and DNA research to place together ancient Indian history in the light of new discoveries and facts which were simply not available to colonial historians of the 19th century and have been overlooked thereafter. At the heart of the ancient Indian Civilization was the mighty Sarasvati river which was in full flow 5000-6000 years ago. 60–80 % of the so-called Indus Valley Civilisation sites which have been discovered are not on the banks of the Indus but on the course of the Sarasvati. The drying-out of the river is the most significant factor in the history and migrations of the ancient Indians. With new evidence, the time has come for a significant paradigm shift in Indology. This book breaks new ground to lay the foundation for an authentic Indian history.

The Truth About Caste
‘Caste’ has been a burning issue in Bharat’s social and political discourse for more than a century, but no serious attempt has been made to know about its use and misuse by academia and politicians—rather they have deliberately hidden the truth from us for their selfish interests.
The Truth About Caste is a serious attempt to expose the designs of all those who put all blame on caste for all the evil existing in Bharat today.
