The Truth About Caste
‘Caste’ has been a burning issue in Bharat’s social and political discourse for more than a century, but no serious attempt has been made to know about its use and misuse by academia and politicians—rather they have deliberately hidden the truth from us for their selfish interests.
The Truth About Caste is a serious attempt to expose the designs of all those who put all blame on caste for all the evil existing in Bharat today.

The Ultimate Goal
In The Ultimate Goal, Vikram Sood, former chief of Indias external intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RandAW), explains the narrative and how a countrys ability to construct, sustain and control narratives, at home and abroad, enhances its strength and position. Intelligence agencies invariably play a critical role in this, an often-indispensable tool of statecraft. A narrative may not necessarily be based on truth, but it does need to be plausible, have a meaning and create a desired perception. During most of the twentieth century, intelligence agencies helped shape narratives favourable to their countries agendas through literature, history, drama, art, music and cinema. Today, social media has become crucial to manipulating, countering or disrupting narratives, with its ability to spread fake news disinformation, and provoke reactions.

The Walking Brahmin
In 1857, Vishnubhat Godse and his uncle Rambhat, unwittingly walked smack in the middle of The First War of Indian Independence. Having the misfortune of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, the duo were caught in the crossfire between the loyalist Indian troops and the British. They witnessed the fall of Jhansi first hand, survived the aftermath of British savagery, were robbed of all their belongings multiple times, and even managed to avoid getting hanged. Twice. Being on the road for two years, they finally returned to Varsai village, near Pen, Maharashtra. Back home, Vishnubhat penned down his adventure for his descendants which was eventually published as a Marathi book in 1907.

The word as revelation: names of Gods
There are two opposing views about language, both advanced by distinguished thinkers. One view holds that a language is external to objects and thoughts; the other view regards it as fundamental to them. In what sense or senses are these views true? Can they be reconciled? Language has not merely expressed man’s fears; it has also expressed his sense of mystery. Again and again, man has sung of Gods and Divine Life and his idea of the Good and the Beautiful in sublime speech. This sublime speech, these inspired words, he has treasured as his veritable heritage, his Vedas. But in the passage of time, man’s’ thought-habits and speech-mores change and the inspired words become difficult to understand. Can a study of language help us to recapture the meanings of older scriptures? Can this study help us to understand the deeper life of man, his vision of God and the Good? Can this study throw some light on religious consciousness in general and the cherished old scriptures in particular? For example, can we understand the mentality of the seers of the Vedas–humanity’s oldest extant scripture–by studying their language? Or can we understand the import of their language by entering into the state of their mind? The book studies human speech in its relation to man’s deeper psyche and religious consciousness. It adds a new dimension to the science of Semantics by showing how physical meanings of a word become sensuous meanings, become concepts and ideas, become names of the powers of the psyche, become Names of Gods, depending upon the organ of mind–indriya, manas, buddhi, — which is using that word as also on the level of purity-bhumi–of the organ concerned.

Theory and Practice of Muslim State in India
The theory part is traced to the Quran, the Hadis and the Sunnah of the Prophet; the practice part to the principal activities of Muslim rulers in India as narrated by their chroniclers. Muslim state in India has not ceased to exist even in modern times and Indian Muslims on account of Islamic laws and separate identity almost form a separate state within the Indian State.

Voice of India, इतिहास, राजनीति, पत्रकारिता और समाजशास्त्र, सही आख्यान (True narrative)Time for Stock Taking: Whither Sangh Parivar?
A study of Hindu-Muslim relations since the foundation of the Indian National Congress in 1885 tells us that Muslims have been making demands – ideological, political, territorial – and Hindus conceding them all along. Yet the Muslim problem remains with us in as acute a form as ever. With the advent of petro-dollars and the emergence of V.P. Singh, Laloo Prasad, Mulayam Singh and Kanshi Ram On the political scene, Muslims have become as aggressive and intransigent as in the pre-Partition period. It has become a habit with Hindu leaders to take Hindus for granted and bargain with Muslims on the latter’s terms. Leaders of the Indian National Congress have taken Hindus for granted from 1885 till today. Now leaders of the Sangh Parivar look like following the same path. Hindus have to decide as to how long they are going to be taken for granted. ‘Contrary to certain impressions created in the media,’ observes Koenraad Elst, ‘the BJS-BJP and RSS leaders have a heartfelt desire to woo the Muslims. The present official position of the RSS (and a fortiori of the BJP) is, more than ever, that Islam itself is quite alright, only fundamentalism is wrong. Even the well-known secularist theory that the Hindu-Muslim conflict was merely a concoction of the wily British colonizers is often repeated in RSS publications, sometimes with the addition that Congress and other secularist parties have now assumed the divisive role which the British once played. In every case, the role of the intrinsic hostility which Islam itself preaches and practices against ‘idolatry’ is down-played or kept out of the picture.’ ‘It is hard to conceive of a situation,’ he continues, ‘where a society is vexed and tortured by a persistent enemy, then generates a millions-strong organization pledged to the defense of this society, and yet this organization, this boastful ‘vanguard’, fails to produce even the most sketchy analysis of the motives and methods of this enemy. Only Hindus could fare this badly. Fifty years after the Partition, twenty-six years after the East Bengal genocide, there are still Hindus singing mendacious refrains like Ram Rahim Ek Hai and ‘equal truth of all Religions, because their supposed leaders have never bothered to inform them. A large part of the reason is to be found in specific choices made by the Sangh leadership, most of all choose to seek secular respectability by means of appeasement policies including flattery of Mohammed and Islam’ (Bharatiya Janata Party vis-a-vis Hindu Resurgence). This compilation shows that in its flurry for forming a government at the Centre, the Sangh leadership has fallen back on policies pursued by the Indian National Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi who harbored a lifelong illusion that he could move the Muslim Indians into the national mainstream by flattering Islam. The Mahatma ended by becoming the Father of Pakistan, and a shahid in the service of his mindless slogan – sarva-dharma-samabhava. We wonder where the Sangh leadership will land whatever has survived of Hindu society and culture in a shrunken and shrinking Hindu homeland. Hindu intelligentsia has to come forward and stop it from taking the Hindu masses for another ride.

Unmasking Kashmir: A Bureaucrat Reveals (HB)
“The way Jammu and Kashmir has been suffering for over past six decades makes one think if there is really a curse on this ‘Paradise on Earth’. J&K’s economy is centred on horticulture, handicrafts, and tourism. But corruption and misrule have spoilt the atmosphere so much that the people feel perpetually alienated from their government. This book presents a ring-side view of the reality of Kashmiri politicians, bureaucrats and the public as never seen before. Sonali Kumar, a starry-eyed young woman, joined the IAS in 1979 to make a difference to India. She chose to come to the State of Jammu and Kashmir where she spent 37 years trying to understand its people, solve their problems and focus on development. What she found there was disturbing – an apartheid regime where the humanity is divided between insiders and outsiders, where outsiders nearly become second class citizens…. She tried to make the administrative system ‘people-friendly’ but soon became a victim herself. Little did she know that her quest for development in Kashmir will become a fight against corruption, nepotism, gender bias, communalism and anti-nationalism – all mixed together. She doesn’t realise that the vested interests she had hurt, will soon hit her back, and may even cost her career, house, perks and even her happiness. Will she succeed? Or will she fail? The book will prove useful both in understanding what the bureaucrats, especially in the IAS, do in J&K and in helping frame some national policies for dealing with the administrative set-up as well as the political problems in the State.”

Unveiling Ajit Singh’s Sanskrit Biography
Unveiling Ajit Singh’s Sanskrit Biography
There are facts that bear out the truth of the assertion that the ancient Indians did have a distinct historical consciousness with an independent view of history and that this view had little in common with the historical values of the Occident. In Rajasthan, probably from the 16th century onwards, a series of chronicles and epics were written on various dynasties. The Ajitodaya-mahakavyam of Pandit Jagajjivana Bhatta, then emerges as an important link in this very remote and unbroken chain of Ancient Indian Historiography. Avowedly, a historical epic of the 18th century on Maharaja Ajit Singh of Marwar, this 32-canto work is very useful as a corroboratory Sanskrit source of the History of Marwar in particular and Rajasthan in general. The present study for the first time investigates, analyzes and discusses quite perceptively the diverse aesthetic elements and politico-historical phenomena weaved in contemporary poetic medium.

Caste is being used as a major weapon to shame Hindus. This crisp and easy primer presents a powerful counter to Western Universalism’s harsh attacks on caste. It is a long over-due toolkit to help all open-minded people gain an understanding of the subtleties of Hinduism’s complex social order. This social structure has, after all, produced a civilization with unparalleled diversity. The Vedic worldview along with the historical journey of Varna and Jati demolishes the prevailing myths about caste.

Vasudeva Krishna and Mathura
This work examines the antiquity of image worship in India. Its main focus is the Bhagavata religion that evolved around Vasudeva Krishna of the Vrishni clan. The earliest literary reference to Vasudeva was by the grammarian Panini (6th century bce), and the earliest surviving epigraphic reference was the Heliodorus pillar inscription (2nd century bce). At Mathura, several noteworthy archaeological finds dated to the early Common Era were recovered from the site of Katra Keshavadeva.
In the medieval period, Katra Keshavadeva was subjected to repeated devastation, beginning with that by Mahmud Ghaznavi in 1071 ce. However, within a century a temple dedicated to Vishnu was built at Katra Keshavadeva. Thereafter, the story of destruction followed by construction was repeated over and over again.
In the early 17th century, the Keshavadeva temple was rebuilt by Bir Singh Deo Bundela. In 1670, the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb ordered its destruction. An Idgah was built at the site.
Later developments at Katra Keshavadeva were recorded in the judicial records of colonial India. In 1815, Katra Keshavadeva was sold by auction to Raja Patnimal of Banaras, as was duly recorded in revenue and municipal records.
On 8th February 1944, the heirs of Raja Patnimal sold Katra Keshavadeva to Seth Jugal Kishore Birla, who created a trust for the construction of a temple for Shree Krishna. In a surprising development, on 12th October 1968, approximately two bighas of Katra Keshavadeva were handed over to Trust Masjid Idgah.
Many documents pertaining to events at Katra Keshavadeva after 1815 are perhaps being presented to the general reader for the first time. The documents attest to the dogged Hindu commitment to the site.
